2019 MAZDA CX-5 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
We created this 2019 Mazda CX-5 maintenance schedule because, whether you’ve just purchased this model, or you’ve been driving yours for months around the Doral and Miami areas, it’s always a good idea to know when you’re due for routine maintenance.
Keeping up on your car’s service needs is the easiest way to help ensure a long life for your investment. At Ocean Mazda, we wanted to help our Hialeah and Kendall area customers know when to bring their car by our service center for a checkup, so we broke down the service needs of the Mazda CX-5 here.
EVERY 5,000 MILES
Your car is equipped with an indicator light that lets you know when you’re in need of an oil change. However, it’s still important to keep track of your mileage, because the longest you should go without an oil change is 5,000 miles. You should also inspect your disc brakes at this point and have your tires rotated. Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection.
MAZDA CX-5: 15,000-MILE MAINTENANCE
Every 15,000 miles, in addition to your 5,000-mile service, it’s important to inspect several items:
- Fuel lines
- Brake lines, hoses, and connections
- Steering operation and linkages
- Front and rear suspension, ball joints, and wheel bearing
- Driveshaft dust boots
You should also be replacing your engine air filter, cabin air filter, and wiper blades at this maintenance check. Also, request to tighten the bolts and nuts on the chassis and body. Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection.
EVERY 20,000 MILES
At your 20,000-mile maintenance check, you should have your air filter inspected and have your 5,000-mile service completed. Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection.
EVERY 30,000 MILES
In addition to repeating your earlier routine maintenance items, you should also be sure to inspect your hoses and tubes. At 30,000 miles when you bring your Mazda CX-5 in, you should also be replacing your engine air filter, cabin air filter, and wiper blades. Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection.
MAZDA CX-5: 75,000 MILES
Every 120,000 miles, you’ll want to bring your car by to have your spark plugs replaced. While you’re here, you can also receive your 5,000- and 15,000-mile routine services. Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection.
You’ve hit the 120,000-mile mark. First of all, congratulations for taking such great care of your Mazda CX-5! At this point, be sure to replace your engine coolant. You’ll want to replace it every 60,000 miles after that.
It’s recommended that you use FL-22 when replacing your engine coolant. Using a different coolant may cause damage to the engine or cooling system. Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection.
MAZDA CX-5: SEVERE CONDITIONS
If you drive in city/severe conditions, it’s important to check your owner’s manual for the complete proper maintenance needs for your car. Severe conditions include:
- Dusty conditions
- Extended use of brakes
- Salt-covered roadways
- Rough or muddy roads
- Extremely cold or humid temperatures
- Mountainous conditions
Additionally, the vehicle may need other items found on the multi-point inspection. If you have any questions about whether your driving conditions constitute as “severe,” contact our Mazda dealership to speak to a trained service technician.
