The Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5 both have powerful engines that allow for a fun drive with good fuel economy.
The Mazda CX-3 has one standard engine option: the Skyactiv®-G 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, you’ll get an EPA-estimated 29 city/34 highway MPG when equipped with front-wheel drive.1
There is a little more power in the Mazda CX-5’s two engine options. The first is a Skyactive®-G 2.5 4-cylinder engine with an output of 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. With front-wheel drive, this engine gives an EPA-estimated 25 city/31 highway MPG.1
The second engine option for the Mazda CX-5 is a more powerful version of the first. It is a Skyactiv®-G 2.5 Dynamic Pressure Turbo 4-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. With front-wheel drive, this engine has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 23 city/28 highway MPG.1
Interior Dimensions of the MAZDA CX-3 and MAZDA CX-5
Both the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5 have five seats and plenty of space for you and your passengers.
If you’re looking for some extra cargo space, the Mazda CX-5 has a maximum of 59.6 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are folded down. With the seats up, you’ll get cargo space of 30.9 cubic feet.
The Mazda CX-3 also has plenty of cargo space with a maximum of 42.7 cubic feet. With the rear seats up, you’ll still get 17.8 cubic feet.
